It has been an emotionally exhausting day, but it has been wonderful! Birth mom, sister and social worker came to my hotel around noon and we headed to lunch at Chili’s. On the way there Adrian cried as I sat next to him and while I tried to comfort him at the table. I was concerned that we were going to have a long day and that he didn’t like the new woman holding him:-(. They were convinced he was in pain due to constipation since he usually has such a laid back personality. We asked to have our food to go, and we returned to our room to eat lunch. We gave Adrian a suppository and within 15 minutes it worked and he was a completely different child! The social worker left to go meet another birth mom at the hospital and so we all spent the day together in my room. We had a wonderful time sharing about our families and lovng on sweet Adrian. I held him most of the day 🙂 We took him on his first stroller ride and walked to Sonic for an afternoon snack and he loved the walk and being outside. Around 6 the social worker returned and it was tough saying goodby to mom and sister! They are both precious and love this litle boy so very much and I thank her for trusting our family with this precious blessing! Please continue to pray for them to have peace as they heal and reunite with extended family this weekend.
Currently my sweet boy is sound asleep. We do not have clearance yet, so we are supposed to stay here until OK and AL both approve the adoption paperwork. Please pray that happens quickly! We are ready be home! Again, that you for your prayers and support on this journey to our beautiful son!
I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well.
