>WWII Veteran’s Honor Flight

>

My Pappy (Erskine “Bill”  Mullins) was able to go with other WWII Veterans on an all day Honor Flight to Washington DC.  They had a full day of sight seeing and visiting memorials and then we were able to meet them at the airport and welcome them home later that night!  It was such an honor and so humbling to “welcome” these precious veterans back home and thank them for their service to our country.  My Nanny was not dating Pappy when he returned from war, so this was her first time to get to welcome him home.  Pappy served for 2 years in the rifelry and returned at the age of 23.

My Pop (Stallard Delmus Mikell) was also a WWII veteran but due to health issues he did not apply for this trip.  Hopefully he can make the next one and we can have the blessing of welcoming him home as well!!

Thank you lord for your protection over him and my other gradfathers during their time of service.  They are very special to me and I have been so blessed to have them in my life.  I pray your protection on the current men and women fighting for our freedom today and pray especially for their salvation so that no matter the outcome they will live!
